The Centre of Excellence on Nutri-cereals (RLBCAU-CoE-Nutri-cereals) has been set up at the Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University established as an Institution of National Importance in the Jhansi called as heartland of Bundelkhand. Anticipating the Millet/Nutri-cereal mission launched by GOI and national year millet (2018), the vision of our COE will be three-fold quality research addressing the issues of millet’s cultivation, production and value addition, augmenting livelihood options, capacity building and converting innovations into start-ups by incubating any enterprise which ensures nutritional security and equitable prosperity through Millets/Nutri-cereals based agriculture. Certification Laboratory for organically/naturally grown products in Bundelkhand region
Developing certification facilities for agricultural produce and promoting organic/natural farming can bring numerous benefits to the Bundelkhand region. Not only does it ensure the quality of the produce for export and local markets, but it also helps in enhancing the skills and technical expertise of farmers through capacity building programs. This holistic approach not only stimulates economic growth but also uplifts the socio-economic conditions of the farming community and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in Bundelkhand and nearby regions. Building capacity and expertise in organic/natural farming techniques can lead to more sustainable agricultural practices, potentially increasing yields, preserving the environment, and providing healthier produce for consumers. It’s a step in the right direction for the overall growth and well-being of the community. (Project Cost Rs. 1272.10 lakh)
