Department of Vegetable Science engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. The department has Master’s and Doctoral degree programme with highly qualified faculties of doctoral and post-doctoral research experience in the current areas of vegetable Breeding and production. It equipped with spacious classroom, seminar hall, P.G. laboratory, to provide quality teaching and research opportunities for the students. The students have also imparted field training in the field through the conduct of research trials. The postgraduate degree (M.Sc. Horticulture) in Vegetable Science programme was started in academic session of 2019-20 with intake of 3 students. These students were given admission based on their merit in national level entrance examination conducted by ICAR. Currently, externally funded research project along with sponsored trials are on-going in the department, funded by different funding agencies like Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh and RKVY.
